 Exciting opportunity for an entry-level Estimator

A rapidly growing steel fabrication company in immediate need of an entry-level Estimating Associate, someone motivated by the challenge to expand his or her estimating skills in a market leading company. If you are a highly motivated person with technical background and you are eager to learn new skills, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Polsteel Ltd is a London based steel fabrication company with aspirations of becoming the best company in this industry in the nearest future. We have laid foundations for this to happen by implementing over the last 3 years systems and procedures. We are now in need of increasing our estimating capabilities. Polsteel is at the very beginning of a significant growth phase and our ultimate goal is to build a recognised brand.

You must share our enthusiasm and passion in developing the company into a top of the class business. This is a full time position. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Polish (both verbal and writing), have a technical background, understand technical drawings, be determined to succeed, self-motivated and eager to be part of a company with a reputation for providing an outstanding service. This position involves frequent liaising with our clients and project Engineers (over the phone and in person). You may be involved in site surveys as well as processing jobs (producing fabrication drawings based on our templates). The successful applicant must have an eye for detail. Full training covering all aspects of work will be provided.

Scope of work:

- Estimating

- Conducting follow-up calls

- Liaising with clients and project Engineers

- Processing jobs

- Updating current steel prices

- Monitoring sales

- Planning workload

- Possible site surveys

Salary: £18,000 annum + commission based on sales
