Key Role Criteria





 Lead sourcing exercises to develop and maintain a competitive supply base

 Issue, review and assess Requests for quotations to potential suppliers

 Negotiate with suppliers to optimise cost, quality, and delivery and resolve issues where necessary.

 Put in place proper commercial and/or contractual relationships with the major Engineering and MRO suppliers.

 Ensure all engineering & MRO items and services are sourced and purchased in accordance with SMW’s policies and procedures including SOX.

 Implement and maintain appropriate KPI to measure Engineering Commodity and Supplier performance

 Work to improve Commodity performance in order to meet KPI as set by the Materials, Purchase & Contracts Manager.

 Work with internal customers to ensure all necessary MRO items are available as required either in Stores or as a Direct Order.

 Ensure MRO Orders are delivered on time in full and according to requirements.

 Work to minimise Purchase Price Variance on all Stores MRO items

 Ensure Engineering services are available to meet the needs of internal customers

 Review and assess all current and future Engineering Service Contracts.
