Full time positions starting from £14,000 based in Croydon



Established in 2007, Oakam is a rapidly expanding financial services business that operates a number of retail based money stores in and around the London area. Offering a variety of services we provide access to affordable credit and flexible payment facilities for our customers. Oakam differentiates itself from the competition through its unique store environment, community focus and ‘good payer’ reward system.

We are now looking for a number of Collections Advisors to join us on the next stage of our journey. We are offering the opportunity to work in a fast paced and exciting environment where no two days are the same. Collections and Customer Service are absolutely critical to our growth plans and we want to hear from dynamic and proactive individuals who would relish working in our head office in South London.

The role will be based in our multi-lingual blended contact centre and you will be responsible for assessing the customer arrears situation and effectively working with customers to agree a repayment plan in order to be able to successfully payoff the arrears and the original loan amount.  Successful candidates will be required to achieve and surpass pre-defined targets, such as cash collection and call volume rates.

With an extremely diverse customer base you will be adept at understanding the customer’s situation and providing solutions. Ideally candidates will require 1-2 years of experience in a collections or customer service style environment, ideally within financial services however candidates with the right attitude and approach will definitely be considered.  Working in a challenging and exciting environment you will have a good level of English and the ability to communicate effectively. An excellent telephone manner is essential.   You will have worked in a team environment previously and will be proud of your Collections/Arrears Management achievements to date. We require a number of advisors, specifically some that should be fluent in Polish and English.
